Privacy Policy for TimeTag

Effective Date: February 14, 2026

At TimeTag (timetag.cc), we respect your craft and your privacy.
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and—most importantly—what we don't do with it.

1. Our "No Sale" Promise

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your project data to third parties.
Your markers, timestamps, and metadata belong to you.
We are in the business of building tools, not selling user profiles.

2. Data We Collect

To provide the TimeTag service and manage your Pro license, we collect the following:

  • Account Information:
Your email address (when you purchase a license).

  • License & Device Data:
To enforce our "3 activations per license" policy, we collect unique device identifiers (e.g., Device ID or UUID).
This ensures your key is only used on your authorized devices.

  • Payment Data:
We do not see or store your credit card numbers.
All payments are handled securely by our Merchant of Record, Creem.io.
They provide us with confirmation of your purchase and your email address.

  • Usage Logs (Optional/Anonymized):
We may collect anonymized data regarding app crashes or feature usage to help us squash bugs and improve the app.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information strictly to:

  • Deliver and validate your TimeTag Pro license.

  • Manage your 3-device activation limit.

  • Provide technical support if you run into issues.

  • Send critical updates regarding the app (e.g., a major new feature or a change to these terms).

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We only share data with essential service providers who help us run the app:

  • Creem.io (Merchant of Record): Processes your payments and handles global tax compliance. You can view their privacy policy at creem.io/privacy

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your license is active.
If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at [Your Support Email].

6. Your Rights (GDPR & Global Standards)

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we have about you.

  • Request that we correct or delete your data.

  • Revoke your consent for data processing at any time.
